This is the talkback thread for Geneon Announces New Titles For Summer.

I've heard good things about Elemental Gelade, and I'm still up for checking out Gun Sword and Kamichu. The rest, pass. I saw five episodes of Kannazuki No Miko and they didn't do much for me.

Kamichu I'm all up ons (dibs on screeners, atleast after v.1 w/ box.) Gun X Sword and Elemental Gelade I'm curious about, though not totally enamored with (unlike Kamichu.) I'll definitely take a pass Kannazuki myself as well.

I might've actually liked it better if they had just gotten rid of the whole mecha portion of the show, as it was completely unnecessary and tacked on. And most of the dialog felt like it was spit out by a romance cliche computer.

Part of me would gladly take a screener of that show is Geneon ever sent one out (now that we apparently have contact with them), as I'd gleefully point out its many flaws, but the other part of me realizes that they might stop sending screeners if we bash their stuff right out of the gate.

Well, with Kamichu they'll get nothing but love out of me. It's great series with sweet animation and an excellent story. I intend to get the volume 1 with box, but I'm certainly hoping that should Geneon send future volumes I can call dibs because I'd love to review them. Shoot, I might even review my own v.1 w/ box depending on the lead time and other commitment (like I did with Gunslinger Girl.)

I must say, that does sound like a pretty good idea!

I'm looking forward to Gun X Sword since I've been keeping track of this series ever since it debuted in Japan.

I heard that Gun X Sword bundles every anime fanservice cliche and throws it out the window. I guess it should be obvious...considering what a striking resemblance Van has to Spike Spiegel. Toon Zone Talkback - Geneon Announces New Titles For Summer (8)

And it comes out in May right?

Well, it frees volume 1 up atleast for a point/counter point. However, KamiChu doesn't drop til summer, so we'll work it out then.

Now, Geneon's Bottle Fairies, I've got both volumes of that, and I've got next week off, leaving me with plenty of review time (maybe.)

Oh yeah, I'll probably get Ichigo Mashimaro (aka Strawberry Marshmellow,) even if it is a bit too sedate. I atleast call the dibs. Toon Zone Talkback - Geneon Announces New Titles For Summer (13)
