I have made my own AU of sorts for Or--ins SMP, in order to fill the hole in my heart of lack of content (thanks Sneeg for keeping it alive).
Characters/creators that join
Ethan/Crankgameplays: Feline, if only for them to finally become his true potential of a cat maid
Crumb: Hisskin, the similar but more powerful version of Feline
Eret: The Masked, where she can literally become whatever origin he wants
JustaMinx: Snow Golem, because I'm sure there would be plenty of jokes about her being Elsa
Sapnap: Dragonborn (I think this is called) or Strider, both related to the idea of him being a Blaze, which so many like to headcanon DSMP!Sapnap
Quackity: Witch, but he only calls himself a drug dealer
Karl Jacobs: there's a Technoblade origin, and since it doesn't seem like Techno's going for that one, I really think Karl would take this as his own and call himself a Technoblade apologist
FoolishGamers: I believe I one time saw a Totem Golem Origin (gotta keep with that brand). It would also be cool if he was like his DSMP counterpart's height
Badboyhalo: Demon, and he has to be tall
Skeppy: they can probably make a Diamond Golem for him, with similar traits to the Totem Golem (but he has to be small)
Family relations
Karl, Quackity and Sapnap are married (rip DSMP)
Their son is Ranboo, Quackity is his bio "mom" (cause of course Quackity would make that kind of joke)
Jack and Sapnap are brothers
Ethan and Crumb are siblings
Wilbur and Tommy are not officially brothers, but Wilbur always referred to the other as his brother
BBH and Skeppy are Sapnap and Jack's dads
Headcanons/story ideas
Quackity and Ethan own a casino/brothel (casino's Quackity's and the brothel's Ethan's)
Eret and Minx are their employees who get paid very little
Their business is in conflict with the Pube, with mostly Ethan not trusting Tommy
Ethan is extremely protective of Crumb, building her a room made of obsidian
Fundy is terrified/in love with Ethan
Ethan wants to kill Fundy for constantly trying to steal his shit
Karl, Sapnap and Quackity call their son "boo boo"
None of them like Tubbo, frequently calling him a cartoon supervillain
Minx lives with Techno in the mountains, as she wants to recreate the Elsa castle and Techno wants to be isolated in his little farm
She calls him once her sugar daddy. They never speak of it again.
Sapnap and Karl have a construction business, them gathering resources and building structures so every Origin can live equally with each other
Despite this, Tommy tries to paint Sapnap as the Crow Father's arch enemy
Initially reluctant, Ethan eventually lets Crumb work for Sapnap and Karl
Ethan and Crumb has the Wilbur/Fundy dynamic in DSMP
Schlatt is still alive in my universe, he just pops in whenever
Minx and him have a sort of frenemies relationship, teaming up only to try to get Ranboo and Tubbo arrested (you don't steal his glass)
Eret's preferred Origin is Starborn, so Scott and them hang out a lot
Eret also becomes a Merling so he can chat with Niki in her home
Ranboo, while annoyed with his dad's trying to stop his evil plans, love them very much, which probably leads to him having a moral breakdown
Quackity refuses to see Ranboo as a bad guy
Wilbur refuses to see Tommy as a bad guy
Tommy manipulates Crumb, Schlatt, Eret and Minx into trusting him and working for Innit Inc.
Sapnap, Techno and Ethan are the leaders of the Tommy Is Clearly A Villain club, with Ethan actually trying to expose him
BBH and Foolish are the Giant Bros, carving out a mountain as their shared home
Skeppy lives in a treehouse beside them
Bad makes annual family dinners for him, Skeppy, Sapnap and his husbands, Jack, Ranboo and Tubbo
It goes about as well as you expect
The enderman in the Hive's walls Markus is Ranboo's bio dad, which leads to Quackity screaming at him about child support, Karl and Sapnap frantically running away from the Breeding Watcher, Bad trying to help Tubbo calm everyone down and Ranboo traumatized

27.who is your favorite voice actor?joshua ilon has the most intoxicating voice imaginable.
37.what’s a favorite podcast that’s no longer airing?
WOLF 359
44, what nonfiction podcasts do you listen to?not many! i need to get into more tbh & would be open to recommendations actually (not sawbones, or any true crime / mystery podcasts tho)…1. my brother my brother and me2. badvertising3. wonderful4. run: a doctor who fancast5. let’s make a music!6. long ago, i liked cool games inc but obviously not any more7. i also got into data skeptic for a while but i havent been following it :pensive:
47. do you have headcanons about how characters look? if so, what? i cant go into extreme detail bc that would take SO long, but mostly characters fall on a scale for me, and if u asked me i could give u specifics, but . to give some examples OF THE EXTREMES (theres more, but..):
examples of ppl i dont have a CLUE on, and are literally formless figures:kepler from wolf 359, sasha from rqg, byrdie&rowan from tup, trexel from stellar firma, sasha&georgie&melanie&others from tma,
examples of kids whose exact facial features i can describe to you in extreme detail right down to the angle of their fucking nose:juno from tpp, daisy&basira from tma, lucretia&barry&merle&angus from taz, lovelace&eiffel from wolf 359, and grizzop&azu from rqg, x from gis
16 has to go under the cut because i have a LONG response
16. do you prefer audio diary format or radio show format?OKAY THIS IS A HOT TAKE, but! kind of… not that big of a fan of either? most likely, there’s a podcast out there that handles either of these brilliantly, but in MOST cases I feel like shows always try to set up an audio diary/radio show because its cool and immersive in theory but then it gets unsustainable and restricting as the show grows. so they either: 1) drop it which is fine but… when that’s the case, i dont define the show by being in whichever format.2) keep it, but it starts not to make much narrative sense, as they force situations that are either unlikely, limited and just a little clunky.
both of which are FINE (i mean, the latter is a little yugh) especially bc. i understand that podcasts arent always fully thought out, and take time to get used to because its quite an experimental medium for some people and/or theyre small startups that dont expect the traction. like i said, wolf 359 is one of my favourite podcasts ever, and i dont at all hold it accountable for dropping the audio diary format or hate it for it?? and its not even like me genuinely criticsing it for starting it off like that, bc i dont think its a BAD thing.
but what im referring to here is shows that explicitly stick this format and….like i said, i dont think ive ever experienced a show that does this!! and in a lot of cases, it generally feels like they picked it up as a gimmick and/or hadnt fully thought carefully about the ways a show would pan out (*not saying they’d need to know the full plot, but in terms of like a general direction if that makes sense? bc those are two different things). i REALLY, REALLY want to hear a show that uses one of these formats, and actually utilises its potential and incorporate it properly as the plot progresses in a cool and/or interesting way. likee i think making it either, just for the sake of it, is really unsatisfying and i just want one that sticks to its guns!! because thats what would make these formats actually SUPER COOL and let them land!
tma is the one show that did really well with staring with a limited format, and managed to actually incorporate it into the narrative and give some meaning to the fact that what we’re listening to, is something thats actually in-universe. and i think thats because jonny sims actually thought about it, and so there was a Purpose to it being told via tapes rather than just doing it that way for the sake of it. which YEAH. thats the kinda shit im talking about that makes it go off, babey!

A Royal Pain
by gingerxdarling
This was the first time Wilbur had been expected to truly be the crown prince. And as they were the hosts this year, much responsibility that would have once fallen on the Empress had fallen to him. His mother lay in her room, having fallen ill just over five years ago, and into a coma a year after. His father had been working as hard as a man could on running a country, finding every doctor available to keep his wife alive, and finding even more to search for cures. Wilbur had been thrown into the role of the crown prince, earlier than was expected of him, at 13, expected to do the duties of an Empress and of the Crown Prince, even as he watched his father pull away, throwing himself into research and work, leaving Wilbur to raise his brother.
OR
Wilbur-centric royal hybrid AU, where Phil's not dead but feels like it, Kristin is alive, Tommy's his little brother, and Wilbur just wants to be normal.
Too bad that can never happen.

The electricity is stored on board during a rechargeable battery, which drives one or more electric motors. electric scooter in Hyderabad (as distinct from motorcycles) have a step-through frame.HistoryThe early history of electrical motorcycles is somewhat unclear. On 19 September 1895, a application for an "electrical bicycle" was filed by Ogden Bolton Jr. of Canton Ohio. On 8 November of an equivalent year, another application for an "electric bicycle" was filed by Hosea W. Libbey of Boston. At the Stanley Cycle Show in 1896 in London, England, bicycle manufacturer Humber exhibited an electrical bicycle-built-for-two high-speed electric scooter. Powered by a bank of storage batteries, the motor was placed ahead of the rear wheel. Speed control was by a resistance placed across the handlebars. This electric bicycle was mainly intended for racetrack use.The October 1911 issue of Popular Mechanics mentioned the introduction of an electrical motorcycle. It claimed to possess a variety of 75 miles (121 km) to 100 miles (160 km) per charge. The motorcycle had a three-speed controller, with speeds of 4 miles (6.4 km), 15 miles (24 km) and 35 miles (56 km) per hourIn 1919, Ransomes, Sims & Jefferies made a prototype electric motorcycle during which the batteries were fitted under the seat of the sidecar. albeit the vehicle was registered for road use, it never went past the trial stage. In 1936, the Limelette brothers founded an electrical motorcycle company called Socovel (Société pour l’étude et la Construction de Véhicules Electriques or Company for research and manufacture of electrical vehicles) in Brussels. They continued production during the German occupation with their permission. thanks to fuel rationing, they found a point of success. But after the war, they switched to standard models. the electrical models remained available until 1948.During war II, compelled by fuel rationing within the us , Merle Williams of Long Beach , California invented a two-wheeled electric motorcycle that towed a single-wheeled trailer. thanks to the recognition of the vehicle, Williams started making more such vehicles in his garage. In 1946, it led to the formation of the Marketeer Company (current-day ParCar Corp.).1950 to 1980In 1967, Karl Kordesch, working for Union Carbide, made a fuel cell/Nickel–cadmium battery hybrid electric motorcycle. it had been later replaced with a hydrazine cell , giving it a variety of 200 miles (320 km) per gallon and a top speed of 25 mph (40 km/h).In the same year, a prototype electric motorcycle called the Papoose, was built by the Indian Motorcycle Company under the direction of Floyd Clymer. In 1974, Auranthic Corp., alittle manufacturer in California, produced alittle motorcycle called the Charger. It had a 30 mph (48 km/h) and a 50 miles (80 km) range on a full charge. In the early 1970s, Mike Corbin built a street-legal commuter electric motorcycle called the Corbin Electric. Later in 1974, Corbin, riding a motorbike called the fast Silver, set the electrical motorcycle speed record at 165.387 mph (266.165 km/h). The motorcycle used a 24-volt electric starter from a Douglas A-4B fighter plane. In 1975, Corbin built a battery-powered prototype street motorcycle called the town Bike. This motorcycle used A battery manufactured by Yardney Electric. In June 1975, the primary Annual Alternative Vehicle Regatta was held at Mt. Washington, New Hampshire. The event was created and promoted by Charles McArthur, an environmentalist. On June 17, Corbin's motorcycle completed the 8 miles (13 km) uphill course in 26 minutes. The 1980s to 2000sIn 1988, Ed Rannberg, who founded Eyeball Engineering, tested his electric drag motorcycle in Bonneville. In 1992, the January issue of Cycle World carried a piece of writing about Ed Rannberg's bike called the KawaSHOCKI. It could complete 1 / 4 mile (0.25 miles (400 m)) in 11–12 seconds. In 1995, Electric Motorbike Inc. was founded by Scott Cronk and Rick Whisman in Santa Rosa, California. In 1996, EMB Lectra was built by Electric Motorbike Inc., which used a variable reluctance motor. It had a top speed of about 45 mph (72 km/h) and a variety of 35 miles (56 km). About 100 of those were built. In 1996, the primary mass-produced buy electric scooter in Hyderabad, Peugeot Scoot'Elec, was released. It used Nickel-Cadmium batteries and a variety of 40 km (25 mi).For more details please visit our website: https://pureev.in/

MerleFest has always been known for discovering emerging talent in American roots music. From Old Crow Medicine Show to Gillian Welch and the Avett Brothers to Tift Merritt, careers blossom from breakout performances on MerleFest stages. The 2018 MerleFest lineup continues this trend, presenting breakout and up-and-coming artists like Wesley Bright & The Honeytones, Cane Mill Road, Cicada Rhythm, Doolin’, Lindsay Lou, My bubba, Sarah Jane Scouten, The Andrew Collins Trio, The East Pointers, The Lonesome Ace Stringband, The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys, and more.
MerleFest continues to celebrate the life and music of Doc and Merle Watson as the legacy of their music is the artistic center of the festival. Musician, composer and storyteller T. Michael Coleman joined Doc and Merle to tour the world and help create countless Grammy-nominated and Grammy-awarded recordings. Coleman has joined the festival in its mission to keep Doc and Merle at the heart of MerleFest. His popular annual Saturday “Memories of Doc & Merle” set is part of that mission. Doc’s brother, David Watson, attended the spirited celebration of his family’s legacy for the thirty-first time.
In addition to promoting “traditional plus” music, a term coined by Doc Watson to describe the wide variety of musical genres and styles celebrated at MerleFest, the festival also featured heritage crafts demonstrations, instrument picking lessons and jam sessions, dancing, and music education workshops.
“We’ve had an incredible weekend,” Festival Director Ted Hagaman said. “With over 120 artists on 13 stages over the four days, we again feel we succeeded in providing a quality and successful event for all involved. a good goof guide to the mcelroys family of products
I’ve gotten quite a few questions on who the McElroys are and what they do or what is The Adventure Zone/TAZ or what is Monster Factory so I thought I’d make a little list telling you what these things are and how to find them so you don’t feel lost by the content on your dash anymore. It’s a bit of a list so it’s all under a cut but main titles are bolded and I did my best to keep it condense.
1. My Brother, My Brother, and Me
The McElroy brothers are: Justin, Travis, and Griffin (in that birth order). They all host a podcast called, My Brother, My Brother and Me the show is frequently referred to as MBMBaMwhich can be found on the maximumfun network (here). They also have a TV show from the same name on the Seeso network which can be found here.
2. The Adventure Zone
The other most notable podcast from the brothers is The Adventure Zone(also known as TAZ or The Zone Cast) which is also featured on maximumfun(here). This show is also hosted by their father, Clint McElroy.
Justin plays as Taako Taaco, a gay elf that is dating a grim reaper and used to host a cooking show.
Travis plays as Magnus Burnsides, a human warrior with rustic hospitality and a knack for woodcarving.
Clint plays as Merle Highchurch, a pan-preaching, Kenny-Chesney loving dwarf who is a bad cleric.
Griffin is the DM who voices all of the other NPCs like Lup, Lucretia, and Angus McDonald.
It’s a DnD podcast that focuses less on mechanics and more on story so it’s great if you love a good fantasy story that can make cry laughing one moment and then actually cry from emotional pain the next.
The podcast also spawned a zine & a graphic novel is soon to be released based off of the first chapter of the storyline.
3. Other Podcasts/Shows
So these boys got a SHIT TON of podcasts. Like so many I feel like if I tried listing them all I’d miss out on some. But here is a link to most, if not all, of their other ones. A lot of their other podcasts are done with their significant others (i.e. Sawbonesis with Justin andSydnee). Some are also done with friends (i.e. The Besties found hereis a video game podast done with Justin, Griffin, Chris Plante, and Russ Frushtick).
4. Polygon
Polygon, found here, is a video game news network that Griffin and Justin work for. Through the network the boys have spawned quite a few video series as well as two (as far as I know of) podcasts which are, The Besties and Cool Games Inc. Below I’m going to go into further explanation on the names you most likely see on your dash.
i. Cool Games Inc.
This podcast is hosted by Griffin and Nick Robinson. They take in user submissions for video game ideas and build off of them. They can all be found here.
Also if you just want a little taste for what the show is about, they also upload animated clips from the show on the youtube channel here.
ii. Monster Factory
Monster Factory is a video series made by Griffin and Justin for Polygon and it can be found here. The basic premise of the show is that the brothers take a game with a character creator and push it to it’s max capabilities to create“monsters” (note: they aren’t really monsters. for the most part the become beloved characters). If you’ve heard of The Final Pam, Ja’am, Borth“Just Like Bart” Sampson, or Boy Mayor- those are all characters from various Monster Factory episodes.
The series is a really great one to sit down and have some good laughs so I’d definitely recommend it. The best part is, you don’t really have to watch it in order (unless it’s one of the multi-parters like the Fallout 4 series or the Boy Mayor’s series) so you can click on one from a game you recognize and let the boys guide you through the rest.
iii. Car Boys
This one is another video series this time created by Griffin and Nickand it can be found here. It started out with Griffin and Nick messing around with a car simulator but soon turned into an amazing storyline that left us with a lot to think about. There’s a lot of fan theory videos to watch after the finale which make you want to rethink a lot of things about your life.
Pros: Has a definitive end, good goofs
Cons: you need a solid day to think about life after it’s over
5. Miscellaneous
As you can find on the mcelroyshows.com website there are a few additional shows that I didn’t mention like Things I Bought At Sheetz (a food review quiz show) and Griffins Amiibo Corner (a show in which Griffin sticks Amiibos in his - well you’ll find out)
But I figured we’d take it slow and not explain every single show that the McElroys are involved in, unless you got a lot more time on your hands to listen. Something you may notice if you delve into this McEl-media world, is once you start on one product you find yourself down a wormhole, ingesting more and more McElroy products until your whole world is consumed by them and you can’t stop calling every creature “__ __ boy!” and jokes are now goofs and hachi machi is now a part of every day vocabulary.
I hope if you’ve made it to the end of this post you know a little bit more about the content you are seeing on your dash and maybe you even sought out one or two of the things on this list! But if you have any questions feel free to ask! And if there’s anything vital you felt I left out, let me know!
Thanks for reading, kiss your dad square on the lips.

3-19-20: CLEBURNE COUNTY AND ITS PEOPLE, The People of Edgemont, Arkansas
Oliver Davis (1897-1936) Accidental Death
Oliver Davis was born in Union Township, Van Buren County, Arkansas, in 1897, to Orris R. Davis and Elisa E. Davis. Th e Davises moved to Van Buren County from the state of Mississippi.
In 1936, Oliver Davis of Edgemont, Cleburne County, Arkansas, was accidentally killed when he became a victim of asphyxiation in a well in the Edgemont community early on Tuesday, September 1, 1936. He was forty years old.
Mr. Davis who resided in the Lone Pine community near Edgemont had dynamited a well on the W. P. Barnum’s farm at Edgemont on Monday. On Tuesday he returned to the well to complete the job. He was accompanied by Brose Barnum. Mr. Davis’s objective was to remove the loosened rock he had blown loose with the dynamite on Monday.
As he entered the well, he complained to Mr. Barnum that the well had a gaseous atmosphere, but that he was going to try to remove the rock and dirt. Mr. Barnum tried to get him to exit
the well immediately. Seeing he couldn’t stay in the well any longer, Oliver started climbing out of the well. He got only about ten feet up when he was overcome by the gas and fell back to the
bottom.
Barnum, unable to go into the well because of the deadly gas, ran for help, arriving a few minutes later. The body of Davis was finally hauled to the top of the pit and a physician was summoned, who pronounced him dead.

“The MerleFest On the Road performers provide a sampling of the music that is a mainstay at MerleFest,” said Steve Johnson, MerleFest artist relations manager. “A diverse ‘traditional plus’ lineup is a big part of the festival. However, it is important to remember that MerleFest cannot be defined by just one genre. Doc Watson created the genre moniker of ‘traditional plus,’ meaning ‘the traditional music of the Appalachian region plus whatever other styles we were in the mood to play. Since the beginning, the people of the college and I have agreed that the music of MerleFest is ‘traditional plus’.’”
Johnson added, “We are delighted to showcase some of the finest artists from MerleFest lineups. MerleFest regulars tell us that they can hardly wait for every April to arrive, and now they don’t have to! We believe that the fans who catch a MerleFest On the Road show will be more enthusiastic than ever for the festival in April.”
The Way Down Wanderers — Equal parts fast-paced and soulful, 5-piece modern-folk Americana act, The Way Down Wanderers, draw listeners in with energy, originality and soulful generosity. Playing, performing and writing together for just 4 short years, the Wanderers have built an enthusiastic and fast-growing following. Youthful and professionally trained, these young men captivate audiences with soaring instrumentals, foot stomping sing-alongs and a lively stage show and have created a buzz for themselves with their unplugged, off-stage encores. The band’s debut, self-titled album, produced by Mike Marsh of the Avett Brothers and recorded at Sonic Ranch in El Paso TX, is now available wherever music is sold. Front-men and founders, Austin and Collin, met in their hometown of Peoria, IL when they joined the same folk band and embarked on their first tour at the ages of 14 and 18 years old. The two became fast friends and soon began writing music together, ultimately forming The Way Down Wanderers when Collin was 16 and Austin, 20 years old.
The Barefoot Movement — Memorable melodies, lush harmonies, and exciting instrumentation: the music of Nashville, TN’s The Barefoot Movement is made up of all of these things and more. With one shoe-less foot firmly planted in the world of roots music, while the other wanders anywhere from the styles of pop to rock to R&B, their genre busting sound may be hard to define, but it is clearly infectious to anyone who hears it. Centered around the soaring vocals and songwriting of lead singer and fiddler Noah Wall, the band has been touring since 2009, and their most recent release was produced by Chuck Plotkin (Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan) and Hank Linderman (Eagles, America). Heralded by CMT Edge as “one of the most promising bands on the bluegrass scene,” the music remains as down to earth as their intention for members of their audience: sit back, relax, take your shoes off, and stay a while. With crowds teeming with enthusiasm at every performance, and new fans joining the fold across the nation, word is surely spreading and the message is clear: barefoot is better. Won’t you join the movement?
Andy May — Veteran singer/songwriter, mandolinist, and champion guitar picker, Andy May, infuses his songwriting and shows with his trademark creativity, humor, and consummate musicianship. He draws from a deep well of traditional American music and his writing taps into styles from blues to Bluegrass, old-time country to contemporary folk, traditional reels to roots-rock. Andy’s 2016 album, Room for Roots, played nationwide on independent Americana and Country Music radio, with multiple original songs charting. His song, Woman in the Wings, was on Roots Music Report’s top Americana Country Songs chart for both 2016 and 2017. The album itself made their Top Americana Country Album Chart for both years, as well. In a half-century of performing — from iconic venues such as Carnegie Hall and The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum to festivals, colleges, clubs, and listening rooms across the nation and abroad — Andy has played his music for generations of fans. This is his 18th MerleFest.

MerleFest, presented by Window World, is proud to announce the initial lineup for MerleFest 2018, which will be held April 26 - 29. The annual homecoming of musicians and music fans returns to the campus of Wilkes Community College in Wilkesboro, North Carolina, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This very popular after-hours hootenanny gathers many performers from the festival for impromptu artistic collaborations and one-of-a-kind superstar jams that have become legendary in the festival’s history.
Kris Kristofferson – Kris Kristofferson is a three-time Grammy winner who has recorded 30 albums, including three with pals Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings as part of the Highwaymen. Kristofferson has spent three decades performing concerts all over the world and achieved remarkable success as a country songwriter at the start of the 1970s. His songs helped redefine country songwriting, and by 1987, it was estimated that more than 450 artists had recorded Kristofferson’s compositions. In 1977, he earned a Golden Globe for Best Actor and has acted in more than 70 films to date. Kristofferson is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and has been recognized with the Songwriter Hall of Fame’s prestigious Johnny Mercer Award, the Johnny Cash Visionary Award, BMI’s Icon Award, the Francis Preston Music Industry Award, the PEN Song Lyrics of Literary Excellence Award, and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. Kristofferson is scheduled to play on Thursday.
Jamey Johnson – Truth and tradition. These non-negotiable principles serve as the bedrock of the music of eleven-time Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Jamey Johnson, called “one of the greatest country singers of our time,” by The Washington Post. Indeed, the Alabama native has been acknowledged by many as country music’s north star, guiding us down a path of confession and conflict to a place of reflection and redemption. He has received tremendous praise from The New York Times, Rolling Stone, The Wall Street Journal and other publications, many of which have hailed his albums as masterpieces. His influential album, “That Lonesome Song”, was certified platinum for 1 million in sales, and his innovative double album, “The Guitar Song”, which debuted at No. 1 on the country album charts, received a gold certification. In 2012, he released a Grammy-nominated project honoring one of his heroes, Living for a Song: A Tribute to Hank Cochran. He is one of only a few people in the history of country music to win two Song of the Year Awards – for “Give It Away” and “In Color” – from the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association. He has written singles for George Strait, Trace Adkins, James Otto, Joe Nichols and others. Jamey Johnson is scheduled to play on Friday.
“MerleFest is proud to announce more than 75 artists who are part of the festival’s 2018 lineup, commemorating the 31st year of the festival. MerleFest welcomes back five special artists that have played all 31 years: Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Peter Rowan, Joe Smothers, and Jack Lawrence. The initial lineup reflects the musical diversity and quality of performers who are the hallmark of the festival,” says Steve Johnson, MerleFest Artist Relations Manager. The Finance 202: the rescue of Substantial money cavalry rides on tax overhaul
New White House chief of staffJohn Kelly listens toPresident Donald Trump. (Reuters/Kevin Lamarque)
Double leadership failures by the White House along with the company community so far have hobbled the drive for a sweeping tax code rewrite.
But the previous 72 hours offer some skilled encouragement to people seeking to get a breakthrough. At 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., President Trump’s decision Friday to replace Reince Priebus — his most incredible shrinking chief of staff — together with Homeland Security secretary John F. Kelly holds out a glimmer of hope that the former Marine general can inflict some grownup supervision on the Lord of the Flies atmosphere that’s prevailed there. “Kelly is a very disciplined individual who may bring about the procedure if the creatures from the zoo act,” John McLaughlin, a former acting director of the CIA who served in seven administrations, tells The Post’s Philip Rucker, Robert Costa along with Dan Balz.
Easier said than done, clearly, at a West Wing that last week looked as badly off its axis as at any moment at Trump’s tumultuous half-year presidency. Even the Wall Street Journal editorial board isn’t holding its breath that a staff change can fix what ails that White House, even composing Friday that a “shuffling of the team furniture won’regardless of unless Mr. Trump accepts that the White House issue isn’t Mr. Priebus. It’s him. ”
But as one individual near Kelly put it to Politico, “I feel this is the greatest and final shot. This is it. ”
Meanwhile, a big-money cavalry is now hanging outside on behalf of a tax overhaul. Using a border adjustment tax they opposed liberally off the table, the Koch brothers’ governmental community is launching a multimillion-dollar effort to press the case for a wholesale revamp. It launches in a Newseum event guest-starring Marc Short along with Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, Trump & rsquo; s lobbyist. This Friday, the Business Roundtable will be kicking off its very own seven-figure assist, sponsoring a national TV and radio blitz. And finally, the American Action Network, the center-right nonprofit group, plans to invest $20 million boosting the effort, such as $5 million in August.
Much like the Kelly move, time will tell if the lobbying push represents the top edge of even a work or a seriousness.
The Wall Street Journal’s Richard Rubin:
So that is large GOP $, also large Koch $ and large corp (Roundtable) $. Does that influence voters/members? And does it survive a comprehensive draft? https://t.co/XbjWXOg36U
— Richard Rubin (@RichardRubinDC) July 30, 2017
And as with the Kelly move, a few helpful involvement by the president could go a very long way. On the weekend, even Trump realised he desires Senate Republicans to Stay focused on health care:
Repeal & Replace is not dead unless the Senators are quitters! Demand a different vote before voting on any bill!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 29, 2017
Do not give up Senators, the World is seeing: Repeal & Replace. . .and visit 51 votes (nuke option), get Cross State Lines & more.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 30, 2017
And White House budget director Mick Mulvaney, appearing Sunday on CNN, affirmed it’s “official White House plan” that the Senate should keep working on Obamacare before voting on whatever else. That demand will become unworkable from the September when approve a government financing package and lawmakers need to lift the debt ceiling. (Not to mention that it is exceptionally unpopular: almost two-thirds of respondents at a new Reuters poll wish to maintain Obamacare in position or view it slightly modified, and only 29 percent need Republicans to continue working on a brand new health-care bill.)
Since Republicans may want to repurpose the invoice for a car for the step, it may also complicate the image for a tax overhaul. Even the GOP’s internal deadlock to a new budget threatens to maintain the reconciliation rules they have to have to skip Democrats from the tax debate. So Senate Republicans are eyeing a plan that would allow them to bypass the spending routine in favour of retooling the invoice and its balancing instructions instead.
That an move is under serious consideration underlines the urgency for Republicans to place their first major legislative triumph.
President Trump. (Reuters/Jonathan Ernst)
—Trump over the weekend tweeted on one of his favorite topics, the stock market’s potency:
U.S. Stock Market up almost 20% since Election!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 29, 2017
He’s understandably been a lot quieter on the performance of the dollar, a metric that many market watchers believe more correctly reflects confidence in their own economic direction. The greenback surged after Trump’s election but has since given back those gains and then some. Bloomberg’sLananh Nguyen along with Liz McCormick report: “For most, it reflects deepening worries the chaos embroiling Washington — much of that has been Trump’s own making — is undermining his ambitious economic agenda. As his government has lurched from 1 crisis to the next — against the firing of FBI Director James Comey to allegations of collusion with both Russia along with the Republican Party’therefore failure to repeal Obamacare — something of a consensus has emerged from the foreign exchange market. And that’s to sell the dollar.”
—The economy rebounded by increasing at an annualized rate of 2.6 percent from the next quarter of this year, but persistently weak inflation will be casting doubt on the Fed’s plan to continue increasing interest rates. The Post’s Ana Swanson: “less spending by state and local authorities, in addition to reduced investment in home and business inventories, dragged on growth from the next quarter. But those effects have been offset by an increase in different kinds of investment, greater customer spending and stronger exports…Though the 2.6 percent increase in the next quarter indicates a rally from the preceding quarter, it still falls short of the 3 percent to 4 per cent increase the Trump government continues to be targeting. Lots of the economic plans of President Trump, such as tax cuts along with the government’s funding, rely on having higher economic growth. But while the present economic expansion remains the third-longest on document, rates of growth have remained stubbornly low, because of longer-run fluctuations in the economy, such as the aging of the U.S. population.”
—And while Trump might not be making good on much of his agenda, U.S. corporate profits are on a rip. The largest American organizations are poised to post the 2nd consecutive quarter of double-digit increase for the very first time in six years. The Wall Street Journal’s Theo Francis andThomas Gryta report: “that the second-quarter profit profits are spread across industries from Wall Street banks to Detroit’s car factories to Silicon Valley’s software labs. Earnings are expected to decline only in the utilities industry, based on info from Thomson Reuters.”
This file pictureshows the sign for a Wells Fargo bank in Woodbury, Minnesota. (AFP PHOTO / AFP FILES / KAREN BLEIERKAREN BLEIER/AFP/Getty Images)
—Much More fallout in the Wells Fargo wreck: My colleague Renae Merle reports that the bank’s acknowledgment that it billed 800,000 of its clients for auto insurance they did not need more than six years is already igniting some governmental backlash.
Cap Alpha’s Ian Katz sees the fallout potentially shaping the fiscal deregulatory debate: “Our profound analysis is the fact that it is bad for everyone, except perhaps for defenders of the CFPB,” he writes at a Sunday night note to clients. “This is another annoyance for Wells, that is already facing reputational challenges, and a poke in the eye for Republicans and others who wish to neuter the CFPB. It may also end up being more difficult to wider efforts to reform Dodd-Frank, as it strengthens the arguments of Democratic lawmakers such as Elizabeth Warren and Sherrod Brown that banks want tougher, not milder, oversight.”
Discovery Communications has agreed to acquire Scripps Networks Interactive Inc. in a deal valued at roughly $11.9 billion, combining two powerhouses of both nonfiction television programming at a time of major upheaval in the cable-TV enterprise.
Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin. (Jabin Botsford/The Washington Post)
—Lawmakers returning from the August recess will have just 12 legislative actsto raise the debt ceiling before having a default. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin composed Congress on Friday urging actions by Sept. 29. For dealing with the must-pass step but on Capitol Hill, there is absolutely no clear approach. The Wall Street Journal’s Kate Davidson accounts: “Mr. Mnuchin has made clear the government would like to find the debt limit improved, without any strings attached. But GOP leaders will surely need to rely upon support to acquire any kind of increases desk, some Democrats might be unwilling to provide without a thing in return. They have been unified in opposition to people to other problems.”
President Trump. (Photo by Jabin Botsford/The Washington Post)
—The Republican coalition is increasingly showing the strains of attempting to hang against an iconic, galvanizing president. Weekly, those bridling in Trump’s personalityappeared to demonstrate a new willingnessto confront him. ” The Wall Street Journal’s Siobhan Hughes and Thomas M. Burton: “In Congress, a few Republicans are pushing back in Mr. Trump through actions. Last week, the House and Senate passed legislation that could make it challenging for Mr. Trump to relax economic sanctions on Moscow or even to revive Russia’s control over diplomatic compounds, in response to U.S. intelligence customs that Russia interfered in the elections, ” that Russia denies. Meanwhile, Republican senators proceeded to block every path Mr. Trump might attempt to use to fire and replace Mr. Sessions, out of concern that doing so would disrupt the independence of the research into any election hindrance.”
— Meanwhile, Neil Irwin of this New York Times sees likelihood that this White House will be moved out of by National Economic Council director Gary Cohn, since he is not going up init:
Together with Gary Cohn not being called chief of staff, of him being nominated for Fed seat border higher, odds, I believe.

by Minty_Mocha
Tommy woke up bright and early. He then began his morning routine of a nice warm shower, preening his wings, and heading straight to Wilbur’s. He missed his chance to bother him last night as the man claimed he wasn’t feeling well. His brother was probably testing potions again so he knew to leave him alone, especially since the last time he fucked one up Tubbo was walking upside down for an entire day.
With all that said you tell he was more than surprised to find an 8-year-old version of Wilbur sleeping in his brother's bed.
Or: Wilbur turns himself into a child and Tommy learns the struggles of being an older brother.

In 1996, the primary mass-produced electric scooter, Peugeot Scoot'Elec, was released. It used Nickel-Cadmium batteries and a variety of 40 km (25 mi).For more details please visit our website: https://pureev.in/

Matt Barba Spent 19 years on a 1960 Chevy Dad Told Him Not to Buy
If car features were sung to the tune of a well-known country song, Matt Barba’s 1960 Chevy Impala would be sung to the tune of Merle Haggard’s “Mama Tried.” You see, the first time Matt saw his 1960 Chevy his dad went with him to evaluate the car, and he strongly advised Matt against trading for it. Matt was 16 years old, and a kid he knew wanted to swap the 1960 Chevy straight across for the 1989 Nissan mini-truck Matt’s folks had bought him for $1,200.
The first time around Matt took the advice of his father, a mechanic and auto shop owner, so he didn’t make the swap. It wasn’t hard to understand his dad’s reasoning, the Impala wasn’t even close to being a runner and Matt realized he needed reliable transportation. But then a little time passed and Matt heard the kid had the 1960 up for sale and wanted $1,500 for it. Matt took the hook this time and hauled the rusty basket case back home.
That poor 1960 Chevy led a rough life, doing time as a hard-core lowrider slammed on hydraulics, the alternative suspension system put stress cracks where 1960 Chevys don’t crack. The stock X-frame was twisted like a pretzel and damaged far beyond repair with the body panels not far behind.
Jump ahead 19 years and the then 16-year-old is now 35 years of age and proving he really desired the 1960 Impala and owns it to this day. Initially the 1960 Chevy was going to be a basic restoration, but that wasn’t to be. At 16, things were real tight, Matt says, “Money was a real constraint. I didn’t start working on it seriously until 2005 when I got into my career as a fireman. Then I bought a house and got married in 2008 and the Impala sat in my garage for a few years more until I could save up the money to finish it.”
The first thing Matt did when the project hit the front burner was move the 1960 to his brother’s shop, Bryan’s Custom Restoration in Fullerton, California, and buy what he calls a “Canadian frame”—a seamless frame the various sublet manufacturers made for Chevrolet from square boxed steel. The 1960 found itself on adjustable suspension again, only this time airbags were used instead of hydraulics to lay the car down at rest. Bryan’s C-notched the frame in the rear to add downward travel and relocated the front shocks to gain downward movement.
Good handling was still a concern, so a Classic Performance Products (CPP), of nearby Placentia, California, front sway bar with urethane bushings was installed. At rear, a custom-made adjustable Panhard bar was installed and Firstone bags were placed at all four corners with a RideTech Ridepro e3 controller used to dial in the desired ride height. Stock 1960 Chevy spindles are connected to CPP polished aluminum adjusters and positive steering is thanks to a CPP 500 Series power steering box.
Power four-wheel disc brakes begin with a chrome CPP “toaster” master cylinder joined with a chrome CPP dual diaphragm vacuum brake booster and CPP chrome proportioning valve. The pedal assembly is a stock 1960 Chevy trap with a custom Lokar pedal. In front 12.8-inch cross-drilled and slotted rotors are matched with C5 Corvette calipers. The rear disc brakes are 11-inch cross-drilled and slotted rotors with C4 Corvette calipers. The front wheels are 20×8.5 Intros stuffed into 245/35ZR20 Pirelli tires, and at the rear 22×8.5 Intros in 265/35ZR22 Pirelli tires.
Power for Matt’s 1960 Impala comes from a 1991 Corvette L98. Orange Engine Rebuilding of Anaheim, California, machined and assembled the 350-inch short-block then handed it over to Matt where he built the top end using Chevrolet Performance Fast Burn aluminum heads with 1.5 roller rockers and stainless steel valves. The cam is a Crower, and a fully polished eight runner GM TPI fuel injection takes care of induction, drawing premium fuel from an 18-gallon stainless steel tank fabricated by Bryan’s Custom Restoration.
Sanderson block hugger headers pass dual exhaust through 2.5-inch ceramic-coated pipes into Flowmaster Hushpower glasspack mufflers exiting through the rocker panels. The four-speed overdrive automatic transmission is a fully polished 700-R4 built by Ronnie Walzak with a two-piece driveshaft from OC Driveline connecting a 10-bolt Chevy rearend packing posi and 3.73 gears.
Matt credits his dad and brother with helping him build the 1960 Chevy. Matt says, “All of the fabrication on the car was performed by Bryan’s Custom Restoration. The body modifications included shaving the door handles, windshield wipers, emblems, and smoothing the cowl. Underneath the hood Bryan’s shaved the firewall and smoothed the inner fenderwells and fabricated custom covers out of aluminum.
The subtle two-tone color combination painted by Bryan’s in Transtar-brand paint products is a custom mix of Millennium Sage and Mineral Green Mica. With the custom Transtar paint color sanded and rubbed it was onto assembling the 1960 Impala. Bryan’s welded and smoothed the front and rear three-piece bumpers into one-piece bumpers and then along with all the chrome plating and polishing work were sent to Buena Park Bumper & Chrome in Buena Park, California. The reproduction stock 1960 grille was sourced from Cars Inc. and then chromed as well. Zoop’s was the source for replacement headlight housings with halogen bulbs.
The farthest source from Bryan’s Custom Restoration shop was when the 1960 Chevy was transported to Ron Mangus Hot Rod Interiors in Rialto, California. Filling the radio speaker hole on top of the dashboard and relocating stock dash knobs helped clear room for Vintage Air air conditioning and to show off All American Nickel–style Classic Instruments in the stock 1960 Chevy five-gauge cluster. The 15-inch Impala-style steering wheel came from Southern Rods & Custom.
The only part of the 1960 Chevy’s Lichen Green and Cloverleaf-colored leather interior that Mangus didn’t custom fabricate from scratch (handmade) was reshaping and recovering a pair of Lexus SC 400 bucket seats. The door panels, dash, and console feature custom-made aluminum trim, mirroring the shape of the exterior trim. Santana Interiors is where the custom pop-out aluminum cup holders came from. On the floor Mangus laid Dynamat soundproofing throughout before laying dark green German weave carpet. Think Maserati Alcantara; smoothed synthetic suede was used to cover the headliner bows.
Matt handled installing the sound system on his own, tapping the 12 V needed to run it from the car’s American Autowire wiring harness. The head unit is an Alpine CDE HD149BT boosted with an Alpine PDX-V9 five-channel amplifier. For sound Matt concealed Focal Component speakers in the front and mounted 6×9-inch Focal speakers in the rear. A Kicker 10-inch Solo-Baric subwoofer is housed in a custom-made sub cabinet to handle the bass notes.
Our props go out to Matt for persevering and seeing his 1960 Chevy to completion. It shows a certain amount of stability in his life, and that’s always a good thing. And of course we can’t forget props to his dad and brother Bryan for helping him.

MerleFest, presented by Window World, has wrapped up its 30th year, closing out with a raise-the-roof acoustic performance from Zac Brown Band. Early estimates show that from its start on Thursday, April 27, to its close on Sunday, April 30, aggregate participation over the festival’s four days exceeded 80,000 participants. MerleFest, held on the campus of Wilkes Community College, is the primary fundraiser for the WCC Foundation, funding scholarships, capital projects and other educational needs.
From the Watson Stage, Zac Brown talked about growing up coming to MerleFest and watching his musical idols on stage, artists he saw as heroes. He spoke of what a privilege it is to be in the “batcave” with them now, meaning the Watson Stage. He also spoke nostalgically of how he used to lie in the grass field at MerleFest listening to all the music as a young man. He said that he does not get to do that anymore, but he is happy that everyone else at MerleFest can still enjoy doing that at the festival.
Over 100 incredible performers contributed to the success of this year’s festival, nearly all of whom had performed in previous years and were invited back to be part of the 30th celebration. These artists included Zac Brown Band, Transatlantic Sessions hosted by Jerry Douglas and Aly Bain featuring James Taylor, The Avett Brothers, Béla Fleck, Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives, Del McCoury Band, Leftover Salmon, Sam Bush Band, The Earls of Leicester featuring Jerry Douglas, Peter Rowan, Steep Canyon Rangers, Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy, Jorma Kaukonen, Sarah Jarosz, Jim Lauderdale and many more.

Every year, music fans experience what has become known as “MerleFest Moments” – special groupings of performances, jam sessions and events that get the whole festival talking and add to the festival’s rich history.
Thursday night’s MerleFest Moment came from bluegrass pioneer Del McCoury. Even though he was reportedly suffering from laryngitis and was planning not to sing, he was carried away by the emotion of the moment onstage and sang his entire set in his uniquely powerful voice. The Avett Brothers were wildly anticipated Thursday night and took the stage with an explosive performance that echoed across the grounds. Their cover of Doc Watson’s “Country Blues” went from a close-quarters fiddle and banjo duet into a wonderful extended jam.
Friday afternoon, MerleFest was buzzing with excitement for folk-rock legend James Taylor, who was scheduled to perform with The Transatlantic Sessions Tour hosted by Jerry Douglas and Aly Bain. Taylor opened his set with his hit song “Carolina on my Mind,” joking, “I might as well get this out of the way!” Aside from James Taylor, the Transatlantic Sessions set was an unexpected delight for many MerleFest attendees, featuring a parade of some of the best Celtic musician in the United Kingdom. Earlier on Friday, programming ranged from Sierra Hull’s quietly sublime mandolin and bass duet with bassist Ethan Jodziewicz to Wayne Henderson’s blazingly fast bluegrass twang, featuring 12-year old flatpicking guitar prodigy Presley Barker.

On Saturday, the Avett Brothers returned for an especially powerful set on the Hillside Stage entirely made up of songs from Doc Watson, a key influence to their music. "We feel Doc's presence here, even three years after his death, and he's everywhere in our music," said Scott Avett. The Avett Brothers invited Doc Watson’s brother, David Watson, to the stage for a special introduction. "I was 15 the first time I came to MerleFest. It doesn't feel different now. The authenticity seems to stay here," said Seth Avett. Other surprises of the day included Sarah Jarosz’s hard-edged cover of Prince's "When Doves Cry" complete with stunning bass solo from bassist Jeff Picker. Late in the evening, Ireland’s I Draw Slow showed their love for the region with a rousing Appalachian stringband tune on the Dance Stage that had people spinning and twirling. Closing out the Watson Stage on Saturday night, Donna the Buffalo was joined by Béla Fleck, Sam Bush, and young bluegrass mandolin powerhouse Chris Henry for their all-star Saturday night jam.
The Kruger Brothers
Sunday at MerleFest opened to more beautiful sunny weather. Sunday’s programming sponsor was Lowes Foods. On the Watson Stage, The Kruger Brothers mastered the difficult combination of bluegrass and classical music, premiering their “Roan Mountain Suite” with The Kontras Quartet, and in a virtuosic turn, brought the group together on Sting’s "Fields of Gold." Natalie MacMaster & Donnell Leahy, two of Canada's best fiddlers, brought out four of their young children for a rousing round of fiddle and step-dancing that had the MerleFest crowd on their feet for their first of three standing ovations for the family. Toward the end of his set, country and roots music star Marty Stuart paused to remember Doc Watson, who he “missed with all his heart,” dedicating a beautiful hymn to Doc. Closing out the evening and the festival, Zac Brown Band presented a special all-acoustic set, just guitars, bass and fiddle, including songs off his upcoming album, “Welcome Home.”
MerleFest has always been known for discovering emerging talent in American roots music. From Old Crow Medicine Show to Gillian Welch and the Avett Brothers to Tift Merritt, careers blossom from breakout performances on MerleFest stages. The 2017 MerleFest lineup continues this trend, presenting breakout and up-and-coming artists like Megan Nash, Front Country, Lydia Luce, 10 String Symphony, Mountain Heart, Locust Honey, Ken Tizzard and more.

The great MerleFest tradition of The Hillside Album Hour, hosted by The Waybacks, returned with guest vocalist Celia Woodsmith (of Della Mae). MerleFest's bucolic Hillside Stage filled out with crowds for the unveiling of the classic album, “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart’s Club Band” by The Beatles. After the triumphant opening, Woodsmith grooved to “Getting Better,” and later Sam Bush and guests joined The Waybacks for cuts like “Within or Without You” and “Lovely Rita.”
The Midnight Jam: Photo by Willa Stein
The Midnight Jam, hosted by Mipso and sponsored by The Bluegrass Situation, is always a source for one-of-a-kind moments and unexpected surprises. Opening with Mipso’s Americana and bluegrass roots, Sierra Hull and Peter Rowan sang a beautiful duet on the classic Doc Watson song “What Does the Deep Sea Say.” Jim Lauderdale put together a wonderful set of Ralph Stanley songs that compelled Peter Rowan to run back to the stage to join him on harmony vocals for the song “White Dove.” Surprising the whole crowd, Mipso had invited four brass musicians to start up an impromptu parade through the crowd playing “When the Saints Come Marching In,” ending in an old-time stringband jam with Sierra Hull, Mipso and Front Country.
MerleFest continues to celebrate the life and music of Doc and Merle Watson because the legacy of their music is the artistic center of the festival.
Sand Sculpture by Hilda Smith
The Chris Austin Songwriting Contest on Friday, known for discovering the finest aspiring songwriters, brought a new group of talent to the festival. Winning bluegrass songwriter Linda Jean Stokley from Kentucky, Nashville country songwriter Mary Bragg, and more performed their award-winning songs on the Cabin Stage on Friday evening.
The Band Competition, another point of discovery for great new artists, brought together 12 bands of various ages and genres on Saturday at MerleFest. The Trailblazers, an emerging progressive bluegrass band from North Carolina picked up the first place prize, an honor they can add to their already accomplished career for such young pickers, including opening spots for Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder and Blue Highway.
In addition to promoting "traditional plus" music, a term coined by Doc Watson to describe the wide variety of musical genres and styles celebrated at MerleFest, the festival also featured heritage crafts demonstrations, instrument picking lessons and jam sessions, dancing, and music education workshops.
“We’ve had an incredible weekend,” Festival Director Ted Hagaman said. “With over 100 artists on 13 stages over the four days, we again feel we succeeded in providing a quality and successful event for all involved. Preliminary numbers show we attracted thousands of fans from all over the world. We appreciate their support. This event could not happen without the work and dedication of our 4,000-plus volunteers and the many great safety and service agencies in Northwestern North Carolina. We’re already looking forward to MerleFest 2018.”
“Giving back is one of Window World’s core values,” said Window World Inc. Chairman and CEO Tammy Whitworth. “And what better way to embrace the community than MerleFest, the single largest fundraiser for Wilkes Community College? We’re proud that Window World is headquartered in Wilkes County, North Carolina, and we consider it a privilege to support exceptional educational opportunities in the community through our sponsorship of MerleFest.”
