Nowadays, trying to keep up with the release dates of all the upcoming Marvel Studios movies and Disney+ shows is nearly as difficult as keeping track of the story itself. Between a pandemic in 2020 and the Hollywood strikes in 2023, Disney has had to shuffle around all its release dates repeatedly. As a result, the entire Multiverse Saga has been pushed back by at least a year. We will continue to update this page as new projects are announced, but for now, here’s the full list of upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movies and shows with release dates.
MCU Phase 5 release dates
Agatha All Along | Sept. 18, 2024
- Showrunner: Jac Schaeffer
- Cast: Kathryn Hahn, Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Aubrey Plaza, Debra Jo Rupp, Patti LuPone, Maria Dizzia, Paul Adelstein, Okwui Okpokwasili
Set after the finale of WandaVision, Agatha All Along follows the titular witch Agatha Harkness as she escapes from the town of Westview, New Jersey, with the help of goth teen Billy. Agatha no longer has her powers, but she and the teen form a new coven of witches to face the trials of the Witches’ Road, where only sorcerers may walk.
Captain America: Brave New World | Feb. 14, 2025
- Director: Julius Onah
- Cast: Anthony Mackie, Carl Lumbly, Danny Ramirez, Tim Blake Nelson, Harrison Ford
Now that Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) has retired, Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) is picking up the shield in his place as the latest Captain America. Tim Blake Nelson will reprise his role from The Incredible Hulk as Samuel Sterns, aka The Leader, while none other than Harrison Ford will replace the late William Hurt as Thaddeus ”Thunderbolt” Ross, who is now the President of the United States. We’ll also meet the Serpent Society in this movie.
Daredevil: Born Again | March 4, 2025
- Showrunner: Dario Scardapane
- Cast: Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Jon Bernthal, Margarita Levieva, Michael Gandolfini, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Wilson Bethel
Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio are returning as Daredevil and Kingpin in a mature Disney+ series debuting in early 2025. The series would have arrived sooner if not for a major creative overhaul, but we’re hopeful that it will result in a better end product.

MCU Phase 6 release dates
Thunderbolts* | May 2, 2025
- Director: Matt Shakman
- Cast: David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Sebastian Stan, Wyatt Russell, Olga Kurylenko, Florence Pugh, Lewis Pullman
In Thunderbolts*, CIA director Val (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) recruits a group of supervillains to go on missions for the government. Those reformed and semi-reformed villains include Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), Red Guardian (David Harbour), Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), U.S. Agent (Wyatt Russell), Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko), and Sentry (Lewis Pullman).
The Fantastic Four: First Steps | July 25, 2025
- Director: Matt Shakman
- Cast: Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Joseph Quinn
Marvel’s First Family makes its long-awaited debut in the MCU in 2025. On Valentine’s Day 2024, Marvel finally confirmed that the main cast will feature Pedro Pascal as Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Invisible Woman, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as the Thing, and Joseph Quinn as the Human Torch. In the comics, Reed Richards played a major role in the Secret Wars storyline, so this movie will likely do a great deal to set up the finale of the Multiverse Saga.
We’ve also learned that Julia Garner (Ozark) has been cast as the Silver Surfer, which means that Galactus is all but certain to be the main villain of the movie.
Avengers: Doomsday | May 2026
- Director: Joe and Anthony Russo
- Cast: Robert Downey Jr.
After seemingly breaking up with the MCU for good, Joe and Anthony Russo are returning to direct the next two Avengers movies. In Avengers: Doomsday, we’ll see Robert Downey Jr. return to the MCU as well, but this time as Victor von Doom, aka Doctor Doom.
Spider-Man 4 | July 24, 2026
- Director: Destin Daniel Cretton
- Cast: Tom Holland
We now know that we’re going to have to wait nearly five years between Spider-Man movies, as the fourth entry is slated to arrive in July 2026, between Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. We don’t know anything about the plot yet, but considering it’s set between two Avengers movies, we have a feeling the implications are going to be huge.
Avengers: Secret Wars | May 2027
- Director: Joe and Anthony Russo
- Cast: Robert Downey Jr.
In the comics, Secret Wars ended the multiverse as readers knew it up to that point. We suspect the same will be true of the movie, but Marvel has not shared any details yet. Rumors claim that characters from all the MCU movies, Fox’s X-Men films, and Sony’s Spider-Man trilogy are fair game. But how many of them will survive the multiversal war?
